Roll a Spelling Word- This is a spelling activity that you will also need dice. They will roll to see what word to write. Vocab Flash Cards- Students practice their understanding of the vocabulary words. They draw a picture of each word to help them know what each word means. Word Team Up- This is a way for students to sound out and make words out of the phonics sounds of the week. It is a cut and paste activity. If I were a Thesaurus- I suggest explaining to your students what a thesaurus is before doing this assignment. Students fill out the sheet accordingly. A Story About My Best Friend Writing and Craft- This is an adorable writing and craft assignment were students write about themselves and their best friend. Let’s Summarize The New Friend Foldable Booklet- This is a foldable book which students fill out about the weeks selection. Synonyms Foldable Booklet- This is a foldable booklet where students practice making synonyms. Reading Punctuation Foldable Booklet- Students practice reading sentences with different punctuation to a partner. Understanding The New Friend Tri Fold- Print these pages front to back.
