Roll a Spelling Word- You will need a dice for this activity. Students will roll to find out what spelling word to write. They keep going until all squares are filled.
Mr. Tanen’s Tie Story Structure Book- This is a booklet in the shape of a tie to help teach story structure for the week’s selection.
Homographs Booklet- This is a book that students make of Homograph words. I make extra copies of the second page of this booklet so they can think of more compound words. I also print them back to back.
Mr. Tanen’s Tie Trouble Vocab Foldable- Print these pages back to back. Students fold these pages “hotdog” ways. They fill out the foldable
accordingly. If they are struggling with the definition portion, they can look it up in the glossary at the back of their book.
-ed and –ing Activities- This is a cut and paste activity to practice adding ing and ed.
My Principal! Writing and Craftivity- This is a writing project and craft that you can tie in with the Story.
Spelling and High Frequency Practice- Students will read, trace, write, and rainbow write the high frequency words and spelling words.
Five Favorite Things about my Principal- Fill this out about your principal.
Pronoun Flip Flap- Print back to back. Students then will fold it, and it fill it out accordingly.
Tri-Fold- Print these sheets front to back. Students fold it like a brochure. Fill it out about the week’s selection
