Roll a Spelling Word- This is a spelling activity that you will also need dice. They will roll to see what word to write. Vocab Flip Flaps- Print these Pages back to back. Students fold these pages “hot dog” ways. They fill out the flip flap accordingly. If they are struggling with the definition portion, they can look it up in the glossary at the back of their book. Using Context Sheet- This is a sheet for students to help them practice using context to help them understand words. Sequence of Events Vegetable Craft- This is a fun craft where students will be practicing sequence of events, and they also get to make carrots that look like they are planted in the dirt. Draw a Graphic Feature- This is to help students understand how graphic features can help them understand what is going on in a book. Grow a Seed Journal Project- This is a set of sheets that can be used at school or as a take home project. You will need to provide your students with a seed, cup, and dirt. Irregular Action Verbs Flip Flap- Print sheets back to back. Students fill out the sheets accordingly.
