Nature Poem: This is a sheet where students can write a poem about nature.
Alphabetical Recycling Spelling Practice: On this sheet students practice writing the spelling words, and putting them in alphabetical order.
Vocab Flip-Flaps: Print these pages back to back. Students fold these pages “hot dog” ways. They fill out the flip flap accordingly. If they are struggling with the definition portion, they can look it up in the glossary at the back of their book.
Words with K and Kw: This is a cut and paste activity to practice these words.
5 Fab Facts About Trees: Students find facts about trees about the story, and fill this out.
Why should I save a tree? Writing and Craft: This is a writing assignment to practice persuading, and a cute craft to go with it to make your bulletin board stellar!
The Verb Be Flip Flap: This is a set of sheets to print back to back. Students fold “hot dog ways”, and fill it out accordingly.
The Tree is growing Tri-Fold: Print these sheets back to back. Students will fold these sheets like a brochure. They then fill it out about the story.
Study a Tree Project Sheet for Parents: This is a set of sheets to send home with your students for a non-fiction project to do at home, and present in class.
