Classroom Peek!
Can I just preface this by saying I am still working on this classroom. Setting up a classroom all over again is hard. I feel like this year was harder than my first year! Switching grade levels, states, schools has thrown me for a LOOP! It has been crazy, but I am lovin' it!
Okay when I saw how this bulletin board was set up outside my classroom, I was like what the what!? This is going the total wrong way, but I have chosen to embrace it. I got this cute toad Idea actually from a mom who did it for teacher appreciation for one of my colleagues last year. The toad heads are just circles folded in half. The hands were made with a di-cut. The tongues are just stripes of one inch paper. My kiddos totally love it!
The large toad is actually a toad from a DJ Inker bulletin board set. It can still be purchased on Amazon if you are wanting it. :).
Mmkay. So this is my teacher desk area, The tree was just made from butcher paper. I actually got the stuffed animals from a thrift, It kind of grossed me out getting them there, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money. SO they were doused with disinfectant spray. They were like a buck each. SO the tissue pom poms some were bought at Hobby Lobby, while others I made them. Because I realized hey I can do this!
I am obsessed with my teacher chair. It was 34.99 from Big Lots, and is worth every cent! SO comfortable, and much needed! Makes me feel happy when I have those grumpy moments in school and I can sit in it for 5 seconds, and be all "Ah! Life is okay!"
My calendar are is in the corner kind of hidden right now.
My class made alphabet will go above.
The adorable wire basket by my chair is from Ross they were on clearance!

Okay my focus wall is at the back of them room this year. Why? Because then I can pull from spelling word cards or high frequency word cards during small group instruction at the back table. Everything though will be originally be presented at the front of the room during a rug time before it is posted on the focus wall. By the way those pocket charts I got at target in the dollar deal section. I LOVE THEM!!!
My birthday pin chart is actually FREE in my store click here
Okay my library is still a working progress with the labeling of the book bins. Its a process. The board above is for student work. I got my classroom labels from The Price of Teaching she is wonderful! I love her clip art and school items. Click Here to get her classroom supple labels for free!!!
My calendar area is at the front of the room. I got my calendar supplies from Lakeshore. They weren't free, but I love them ;).
This is my second year using this pin chart. My Students LOVE IT!!! I use it with my discipline and reward system. Which is kind of complicated to explain so I will have to post about that later. But if you want to get this ADORABLE clip chart it is FREE from Haley O'Connor. You can click here to download
Okay I will edited this post as the year goes. Incase you haven't noticed I haven't posted about my word wall. I will do that later! Hope y'all are having a wonderful year!!!
