Moving and Visiting Mrs. Guptill's Classroom
Whew the year is over. I have now moved into my new place in Lynnwood, Washington (suburb of the Seattle area). It was such a whirlwind having the last day of school then moving the very next day. I am so excited though for my next adventure at a school in a new state, new district, new school, and new classroom!! Yahoo!
The drive was long my cat Penelope did surprisingly well on the 13 hour drive to our new home. She is now happily settling in. I think she is missing all the boxes from unpacking though. See below:
Yesterday I spent a good part of the day in my mom's classroom. She teaches first grade and is FABULOUS! Right now they are studying the ocean. I thought I would post some pictures of some of the activities they have done.
They have all sorts of math with those crabs below. How many pinchers (counting by twos) legs, legs, eyes, ect. All they are made of is painted paper plates then attach the legs. The sea star quilt is surrounded with facts about Sea Stars!
The craft below is so simple. Just sponge painted paper folded in have with tissue paper glued to it for tentacles. Then stuff it with recycled paper and staple! What fantastic Jellies!
