I had an absolute BLAST creating for this penguin unit. I love that it is cross-curricular. I am teaching math, science, writing, reading, and the list goes on!! SO much fun. We got to measure out the 5 different penguins. We learned all about them through research and poetry. Finally they picked one wrote about them, then made them. I decided to add on something fun. They got to create the habitat they lived in to put the penguin they created on. Click on any of the pictures below to check out more about this amazing unit at my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.

This is at my daughter’s school. They’ve been learning about animals and adaptations the last 6 weeks. This center is for bird beaks. The tweezers are the bird beaks and put pretend bugs and worms in the sand and they picked them out with the “bird beak” (tweezers). Great hands on connection!!! #2ndgradeteacher#1stgradeteacher#kindergartenteacher... See MoreSee Less
