Space Themed Math Centers: Common Core Aligned Place Value,addition, subtraction

Common core aligned math centers that can be used through out the year!!! Main Focus of Centers Space Ship Subtraction Story problems with manipulative and 3 different levels! CCSS: 2.0A.1 Alien Flight School Addition Story Problems with maniulatives and 3 different levels! CCSS: 2.OA.1 Addition Landing: 2 different Levels! CCSS: 2.OA.2 Place Value Planets with Manipulatives and two different levels! CCSS: 2.NBT.1 and 2.NBT.3 Comparing Planets CCSS: 2.NBT. 4 Skip Counting Aliens CCSS: 2.NBT.2 Gravity Pulling Subtraction CCSS: 2.OA.2 They are separated by topic into a zip file. Teacher Instructions/ Explanation: Some of the centers are tiered or leveled so that you can use them either more than once during the year or to differentiate your centers depending on where your students are at. These centers are made so you can just trade in and out the story problems or numbers based on what you are wanting to work on. The instruction page stays the same just some of the cards can be switched out. You can also print out the center’s main page with all three sets of cards. Both addition and subtraction story problems (“Spaceship Subtraction” & “Alien Flight School Addition”) are tiered three times. The place value planets has been tiered twice (first set is focusing on place value through 100s second set is through 1000s). The addition facts or “Addition Landing” has been tiered twice. All other centers have one level for them. For best success print on cardstock, cut out, then laminate.  Also if your school is on a budget for copies you can always print the recording sheet on cardstock and laminate, and use them year to year as a “white board” version of a recording sheet. Too much color ink being used?? Try printing on colored cardstock! When hitting print you can always opt to print on gray scale and save your color ink . Enjoy, Emily Education
