These make ten activities, crafts, and more help students learn to compose and decompose the number ten. The activities can be used in a teacher-led small group or in an independent math center. Students will make ten in an interactive anchor chart activity, make a craft and practice the different combinations to make ten, make a “Make a 10 Hat, and also practice with 4 worksheets that practice the different addition combinations.
- Interactive Anchor Chart Activity- You will put together Mr. Ten Frame Centipede and they practice the different combinations with the flash cards provided. Pages are provided to make the large ten frame to cut and put together.
- Interactive Student Craft- Students also get a turn to make their own Mr. Ten Frame Centipede in this activity and practice the different combinations to make ten on their own.
- Make Ten Hat- Student practice the different numbers to make ten by coloring them on the bus ten frames then making a hat out of it.
- 4 Worksheets with answer keys for practice.
