Vocab Flip-Flap- Print these pages two sided. Students fold these pages “hot dog” ways. They fill out the flip flap accordingly. If they are struggling with the definition portion, they can look it up in the glossary at the back of their book.
Beary Spelling in ABC Order- Students put the spelling words in alphabetical order. When they are done the pick 7 of the words, and put it in sentences on the back
Prefix Interactive Journal Page- Students cut out all three pieces of the circle separately. They then glue them down just at the edges so they can write lists of words with the prefixes underneath.
Prefix Puzzle Pieces Cut and Paste- Students practice recognizing words with prefixes in this cut and paste activity.
Irregular Verbs Interactive Journal Page- Students glue in their interactive journal, and fill out the flaps underneath.
Story Structure Bear Cubs Craft- This is an adorable craft that matches the story and also helps students practice the reading comprehension focus of the week.
Spelling Practice-You will need a dice for this activity. Students will roll to find out what spelling word to write. They keep going until all squares are filled. They also pick some of the words, and put them into sentences.
Comprehension Tri-Fold- Print these pages two sided. Fold like a brochure. Students fill this out about the story.
